I don't even trust going to journeyed and getting it because who knows if it'll have the MP4 codec.
After asking the journeyed people questions before and having them flat out tell me they just don't know, I have very little confidence in asking them anything and getting a correct answer. Microsoft has stated that only the retail version of Encoder Pro includes the MP4 codec.
All other versions MSDN, Dreamspark, etc do not include the codec, and the screen grab feature is limited to 10 minutes recording time. If you want the MP4 codec, you have to buy it, retail. So we're saying that even if we spring for the Ultimate "Academic" version, it probably still doesn't include the codecs?
If they had made this clear from the beginning, I wouldn't have wasted my time downloading and getting used to this product to begin with.
